What's the difference between a Spanish horse and a PRE?

I think they are the same thing.

PRE stands for Pura Raza Española which translates to "Pure Spanish Horse"

I've always wondered this to!! I *think* it's something to do with a stud book or something like that but not sure??

Cobsgalore I thought they were the same, but time and time again I see people post on here saying that PREs and Spanish horses are totally different.

This may be even more daft, but what is a Spanish horse? Is it an andalusian? Ashamed I don't know!!

Andalusian is NOT correct - as they are now bred outside of Andalusia too. They are now called PRE(ie pure bred spanish) . I think they have to graded to be called pre
