Potential horse has wrong passport- help

Just had a horse vetted which he passed, but the markings on the passport don't match fully, he came over from Ireland.

To be honest I don't know what to do, any advice ?

The purchaser is in contact with the person she bought if from over in Ireland and I'm waiting to hear back from her.

i had one last year and the markings matched but the microchip was wrong

.
i used to buy at the sales in ireland ( for ourselves not to deal) and there was a horse once that i liked but he did not have a passport . the transport bloke said dont worry as long a he is not unusual i have all different passports we can show at the docks

. i also had a grey 4yo that in his passport it said chestnut, but it was taken when he was a yearling. most irish horses if they have come through the sales have a microchip, if out of the field probably not

Bluemonty, he's bay, its just the whirls don't match, we don't think he's microchipped, the vet didn't bring a scanner.

I just don't know what to do, its the horse that I liked, its just not what I thought he was, his age, height and colour match.

I have been told that the Irish are as accurate in the noting down of ehirls, apologies if this isn't true.

get him scanned!!!! The vet should have brought it as standard. The irish as a bit quick at doing them at the sales if it as colour markings i perhaps would be concerned but not the whorls.
You need to see if he has a chip and if it matches

Does he have a green passport??

the blue is a supplementary passport and not always that accurate i find. at the sale most have blue one

Well he has a collection of whirls on his face that match , he is missing one on his neck off side, I suppose the vet just wanted to let me know of the discrepancy.

If he is just missing one rather than not having them where they are marked I wouldn't panic yet. Get him scanned and go from there. It sounds like it could well be the same horse.
