I agree

Nothing wrong with Iveco per se. Just prefer MAN or Daf. mainly as they feel a bit more solid to drive.

Other than that - look nice

i agree...definitely a bit vague to drive.

Merc is the best and then volvo followed by MAN and then a notch down is the Iveco but some people prefer Iveco because they are light to drive. just make sure you have a mechanic check them out even though they are a dealer but do sound good value

Heard very good things about Volvo's, but think they're quite rare as 7.5ton boxes?

Before dealing with any horsebox dealer ask for the names and contact details of some customers of theirs in your area. Never pay a deposit directly to them as their have been so many problems recently
with horsebox manufacturers taking the money and dissapearing or going bankrupt. Ask your bank for details of a system where the bank keeps the money in a seperate account until the vehicle is finished to your satisfaction. get the chassis cab checked over by an independent engineer before they build on it. Make sure that the vehicle is light enough to take the number of horses, passengers and gear without going overweight.

Ours is 7.5 tonne.

yes, thats the MAXIMUM weight it can be laden...

the important thing is the weight of it UNLADEN...so you can work out your payload...

Sorry not replied earlier had to work till 8.30pm and then had to be at darts for 9pm.
Ok so Iveco don’t seem popular then.
Was hoping it would be better buying from a dealer as get 12 months warranty?
Hi Dee, well bought this one to see how much I’d use it, if I liked driving it etc and as I enjoy using it and don’t mind driving it I want to get something a bit newer as Dad is fretting about the reliability of it as its 20 years old! Cheers for asking around as would want to know there are happy customers out there.
Charlie76 depends on how much for yours and spec as wanted to put in about £10k + money from current lorry sale
Nic01 – very nice but looks like it may well be out of my price range
