Ignore the lack of topline, scraggly mane and shavings on his bum. He's been out in the field since Jan and got up from a nice roll in the stable just as we walked round the corner. What do people think of his confirmation? He's 8, about 16.2h, been placed in a few chases under rules and seems like a nice person, moves well and jumps well, so if I can get him for the right price he might be my new point-to-point pony for next season.

he looks like a nice type, bit straight through the hock - but it might just be the way hes standing. I have no idea what a good P2P horse should be like conformation wise tho!!
 
Think he looks rather nice. He's got a lovely frame.

Not too keen on the front feet - but it is a TB after all....

Go for it.........
 
He looks nice, and the upright hocks generally mean that they are more a speed horse and have a good gallop
 
Piccy is dark on my screen, but I like!! He seems very compact for a 16.2. Hope it works out!

AmyMay his feet aren't too bad in real life, nothing a decent farrier won't cure. Once I've agreed a price with the owners (he's owned by a syndicate of 6 people, so not as easy as it sounds

Good shoulder, short in the back and a decent bum on him, cant see legs very well in pic as its quite dark, but you need to check them by hand anyway/check out any gaps in training. Horses for pointing that have already been running are best judged on past performance anyway tbh, as they could have 100% conformation but if not showing much on the track they are not ever going to be National winners, if you see what i mean. However, saying that, a lot that come from big yards and are not doing so well under rules, sweeten up and run a lot better when transferred to a small yard with one to one attention, thats how you can pick up bargains

Been to see him today, he's got good clean legs, no lumps and bumps on the tendons etc., he has had a colic op about 2 years ago, but has run since and seems fine, so not something that worries me. His form under rules isn't great, but he's been running over 2m5f at the most, and owner thinks he wants further. It's more important to me that he's a safe jumper anyway. I actually really like his conformation, but I just wanted to see what other people thought.
He would definitely be happy at our yard, get lots of turnout and training program to suit individual horses.
