Potential New horse...

How would I go about checking the history of a new horse?
I.e. if he had been stolen etc??

I have his name and breeding.
Also, can members of BSJA check out a horses record for free or do we all have to pay the £10?

If the horse has a freezmark or chip it would be easier?

He hasn't a freeze mark, and I am not 100% sure if he is chipped!

If you have his BSJA number you can call up and get history.
Get your vet to scan him for microchip!
