Can a Highland manage 12st 7lb of novice for the occasional ploddy hack? Husband is making noises about wanting to learn to ride, I would love to have something I can pootle around the countryside on to get my hacking confidence back (Merlin's very nappy outside the school and I'm not brave enough to push him through it at the moment) and I've been thinking it might not be a bad idea to get Merlin a field mate because our neighbours are moving next year and taking their 4 with them. It's likely that whoever buys their house will have horses or will be getting them (otherwise why would you buy a house with 3 stables and a sand school?), but there may be a gap of several months between them moving out and the new people moving in.
