Potential sharer viewing tonight! Q?

I think so but maybe a trial first for a month. I think also getting next of kin details are important incase of accidents etc. I didnt do that with my last share i had and should have incase i was rushed to hospital and owner had needed to contact anyone

You need to get a contract sorted, but imho the most important thing is that the sharer has "riders insurance".....if anything happens to her or the horse while she's riding it, she is then insured. sm x

I couldnt get that as they all said if there was an exchange of money the insurance would be invalid - I tried NFU, petplan and BSH one.

NFU said theres didnt cover share agreements and said try BHS who said there insurance should only be back up to another insurance policy and wouldnt cover if it was found to be an exchange in money. Spent ages on the phone to them

I put a post on here a while back and they were the 3 that were reccomended!

Pet Plan certainly used to do a Rider Insurance which your sharer should take out for themselves. Worth looking at sample contracts on the BHS website.

Was this you trying to get insurance for them? shouldn't they get insurance for themselves?

No as a sharer myself, not sharing anymore but I still want insurance for lessons and as I will be riding friends horses through summer but there will be no exchange of money so the petplan one may be ok.

It was only about 4 weeks ago i rang to ask. strange i thought.
