Horsie has had a succeed faecal blood test done and it was found that there was a very small amount of blood in stomach and in the hind gut. May not be EGUS but certainly means some kind of ulceration / bleeding
The vet has put him on Ex-egus and he is to be retested in a month to 6 weeks.
Is this a supplement that people have had success with? How long before I see a behaviour change?
Do you keep your horses on it permanently?
My horse already has access 24/7 to food and is on a grain free sugar free diet so I'm not sure what else I can do from a preventative side of things but I don't like the idea of chemical medication on a long term basis.
Do people generally wean off medication and only use during a flare up or move to herbal remedies? Or is it best to just find something that works and stick with it?
