I took the boys on their favourite walk today and took some piccies - this is the walk I was thinking would be perfect for the meet up - as you can see loads of safe space for hooning......:D

Look what Max met......

It shows how little rain we have had as I have never seen so little water in that pool:(

Sorry for piccy overload - as you can see the mutts were far to busy to stand and pose!!:D:D:D

Looks like a fab walk but I can see I'd better fill the car with dog towels  :D especially if the rest of the year is as wet as they are saying it will be.........

I'm very overexcited about this now :D Very tempted to wear me wellies on the plane as I do love a paddle....may raise a few eyebrows going through security...esp as they are pink and white stripy affairs :o :D

O meant to say I actually timed the walk today and it took just over an hour:) - figured that was about right for the variety of muttleys coming along!:D For those who need to hoon/chase hares etc they can and the others (like Sweep) who are older and wiser can tootle along comfortably!!:D

Bring puppy anyway :D- I'm sure you will have plenty of volunteers to carry her if she gets tired!!;):D:D

There was me thinking I was going to get a piggy-back, story of my life:rolleyes::D

Looks like a lovely walk! Henry will be in his element in that pond, nobody wear anything they have strong feelings about getting spaniel pawprints on:D

Are all the sheep that securely fenced? Madam will not stray far from a big pack of dogs but I won't trust her an inch with sheep (and fear making you all negotiate a soggy 50ft line is extremely unreasonable if not downright dangerous ). That big mahoosive field looks rather good though. :D

Is the plan just to meet up for lunch and walk or are people staying over? It's a bit far for me to travel just for the former, you see.

I have another stinky-water-lover, I foresee many abrupt and unwelcome hosings...!

I doubt there will be any sheep out by then - they lamb early so will probably be in the barns. The only field with livestock are at the begining and all are really well fenced so no worries about that.:)

If you need/want to stay over thats fine - but it will be tents in my garden or possibly floor space as I only have a small cottage!!:)

I'm thinking if we meet up there for a walk and lunch - we can go to the pub - it will be easy for peeps as it is only a couple of miles from the A1.:)

Well i'm planning on tenting it if that's still o.k? :D Am relying on 2 dogs to generate enough body warmth to keep me alive through the night!

Dax is not a cuddler, I may have to sneak in with you three if I get too cold! ;) :D

That sounds great Slinky. :) I am well resigned to the fact that she won't come back when called but if there's nothing tantalisingly sheeplike around she'll at least stick with the other dogs and (probably) come back when you all call yours. :o

I love the way you assume all the others will come back...:D

I feel we should put warning posters up a few weeks in advance;)

I'm seeing it more as a 'Wolves of Willoughby Chase' type pack, ravening all it comes across...:p

Oooo Spudlet that brings back memories, havent read that for years :):):) I am mildly concerned now...... but I am telling myself that my three always come back.....eventually

You all seem to live the other side of the country to me!!! :( And almost definitely wouldn't be able to come during shooting season.

Can we organise another one for Spring - just a little bit closer to the Southwest? :p
