So Buds had the physio today, all good, he adored the attention.
She said similar to the vets however re. concussion to the hock, it has a huge amount of scar tissue around the joint which concussion (re. trotting on the roads or hard ground) could aggravate.
Obviously at some point this will be unavoidable in his life!
I aim to keep his back feet bare which of course improves shock absorbency rather than a shod hoof.
However, do say, sports boots or other types of boots absorb any of the concussion or shock that travels up the leg from the hoof hitting the ground?
Or just protect from direct impact? ie. hitting a fence....
