Poulticing

Ok, so would post that in vet but don't get any replies!
So an infected wound, how would you poultice it, it's on the inside of the front leg, about half a 20p in size. Should I wrap animalintex round? Or just put a bit over the wound? Then what over that?

I tend to cut a square of animalintex to cover the wound and give a good margin, then bandage over the top.

do you put gamgee under the bandage?

Cut a piece of the animalintex to cover the wound and as christmassparkle said, a but more to give a margin. I put gamgee under the bandage (cut to size and obvisouly taking account of where the wound is making sure neddie will still have adequate movement!) and then bandage - with a nice bright colour of course

Sorry PC crashed so didn't get back on last night, but yes I put either Gamgee or Fibregee under the bandage.

cut animamtex to size then put gamgee around that to surport leg then either bandage that or but a lose vet wrap on!
