Having moved to the wilds of Highland Perthshire, my horses and I have met lots of new wildlife. The deer and red squirrels are very cute, but we are less impressed with the midges and ticks!
General concensus seems to be that the pour on fly repellents work best for controlling these nasties, but has anyone used them on their barefoot horses? I know that combination wormers can sometimes cause footines and wondered if there is a risk of the same with external parasite treatments?
Any feedback on your experiences would be appreciated.
