Love it or hate it?

I'm a bit of a traditionalist, so I don't like it (the colour). I quite like the style of it though. Perhaps if it was in a "non-traditional" tweed to jazz up a "traditional" tweed it would look great.

Don't like them myself. I don't like that particular style and I'm not a blue fan. I'm all for traditional with a twist thougb. Some of it's a bit ott though. Each to their own I suppose :D

Dislike button.

Don't like the colour or white piping; hate the blingy hat; frilly collar on shirt but so glad rider is protecting her eyes by wearing sunnies when riding :p

The only thing I do like is the cut of the jacket.

Great for showjumping :D

I just bought my daughter a very fitted Sarm Hippique grey show jacket - it's beautiful.

Er, she's not actually on a horse :p

I don't mind it, wouldn't wear it myself as I wouldn't want to draw attention to me, but fine if others want to wear it - why not if you're young and they're on the market? Things have to move out of the Jill days of fawn polo necks and hacking jackets at some point - hopefully! :D

If I was 25 and had bleached blonde hair, I'd sure as hell wear it. We'd look lovely together, me and my black mare.

Back to my lovely warm puffy, Michelin look alike jacket and mud enhanced jods...

Have you been stalking me ? I was wearing a fawn polo and hacking jacket in 1966 and still haven't moved on. Well, apart from the Ena Sharples hair net and elasticated chin strap.

You can get away with non traditional jackets in sj if you're a decent rid we , competition at a good level. I loathe seeing red jackets in a non competitive 40cm class...

:D :D

I used to team mine with my oh so attractive white silkless jockey skull with plastic chin-cup, I should have not read as much as a child

^^ This. For the younger riders there are some really trendy riding wear available - patent boots with diamantes or those piped with a different colour leather - you could match your bridle. I am all for change and the newer jackets are made of such great stretch materials keeping the rider not only cool, but also able to actually move in them :D

I dislike it, and I also agree with DGE regarding red jackets.

I doubt I'm much of a Jilly, but I will stick with my traditional tweed for 90% of competition requiring a jacket, I am not into bling at all.

mmm - Honestly I think perfect for under 21's, bet my daughter would love this when she is older!

Think its a bit " tacky" for anyone older than that plus ... However that just just my opinion..

Personally I would prefer below , more subtle, lol:)

I like it better than the orange version that they do lol! I wouldn't wear it but only because I don't want to draw attention to myself lol

One dollup of horse snot on that and the look's ruined!

I'm only jealous I'm far too old to get away with anything like that!

You do see plenty of younger riders on the SJ circuit wearing trendy gear and it looks well.

Ewwww tacky!

However I think it would maybe appeal to the younger ones who show jump. They always seem to have the latest brightly coloured or blingy thing!

Fashion goes out of style, but style never goes out of fashion.

To me the blue jacket is Fashion, but a well cut tweed is Style. But perhaps I'm just showing my age!

Aaw, so you can only wear certain things if you're any good? At what level do you stop being too crap to wear non-traditional clothes? I'm assuming it's height-based since you mention 40cm...

(I'm not keen, but then I'm not young, slim or blonde enough that I'd dare to try! Or a good enough rider, for that matter..) ;)
