Anyone else seen their lovely bone dry fields, with new green shoots, turn back into mud baths in the last 24 hrs? I know we needed the rain but give us a break!
I managed to get every paddock rolled and harrowed over the last few weeks, to see all that work undone, with one field looking like the horses have had a re run of the gold cup in it this afternoon...

Green shoots? Pah! Rolling, harrowing, you jest! Bit damp here at the mo. :)

The horses are still confined to their winter sacrifice paddocks, and will be for some time yet.

I did not mind the bit of rain as it has filled up a couple of my rainwater water butts so I have a rest from carting huge water containers to the field every day twice a day! Plus it is nice and soft underfoot for my lad, who I am hoping to keep sound now following laminitis.
