PRB horseboxes???

My sister bought a 2nd hand box off PRB about a month ago. It wasn't a PRB box, but one they had on PX. Not sure if you are buying off them or one of theirs. But the box was exaclty as described.

No, this is a PRB box that is for sale elsewhere. Just wondered about build quality , durability etc, this one is 3 years old on a T reg chassis.

ATM it had been valeted and looks all clean and shiny, just wondered how they stood up to wear.

Two different people Mum and i know have just bought brand new PRB horse boxes and they are sooooooooo smart!! Look like really really reliable, smart, neat little lorries. They both looked at lots of different companies and decided PRB were the best and most affordable.

I had a PRB box from 2000 to 2003 and it seemed to have one problem after another!! The main issue was that the roof leaked like crazy.
I remember being at a show at home in Wales up a mountain in the p*ssing rain and the water was literally running down the walls inside. We took it back to them on numerous occassions but they never fixed it, in the end my own mechanic had a look at it and sealed it with some super doopa stuff and then I sold it!!!!
I don't think PRB were that established back then so hopefully it was just teething problems and they now use a different glue!!!

So not only have I copied you on horse breeding, I am now copying your box!

Do Opposition horses have a preference for PRB?

I have just bought a second hand PRB box about 2 months ago and it is the business! It's a large HGV with a huge living with lots of things I didn't really know how to work. So I phoned Mr PRB. He was really helpful and told me all about the history of the box I had bought, as well as how to work all the bits! When I change boxes again (probably not for a while) I will definately be considering getting them to build for me. The box I have is 3 years old and is well built and in very good condition. I would say that they are excellent value for money. General point - make sure you get the box checked over by a reputable mechanic (I used Organisation of Horsebox and Trailer Owners), there's no point in having a nice shiny lorry if your sitting on the hard shoulder of the motorway watching all the tatty old Bedfords chugging past!!!
