Pre-Intro Course in the Northwest?

Just reading Pidge's post and noted Stafford have a pre intro just wondered if there was anywhere a little nearer to lancashire that do one? I am just getting my confidence back after completely loosing it with the jumping last summer and am aiming to do Skipton or Kelsall later this year, but thought a pre intro might be as nice starter?

Kelsall have built a lot more jumps in the 2'6" range, think they are being put out in April ?? (can't remember but was on their newsletter) - could well be more unaffiliated events / hunter trials put on there too, which would be worth doing. At the moment doesn't look like there are any BE pre-intros scheduled for the NW.

no need to shout (capitals!) friend told me she'd been on the BE website and Stafford were having one............. apologies if she was wrong

schedule not online yet - what class is the T?

T is training, AKA pre-intro, but as we all know STAFFORD IS NOT RUNNING A PRE-INTRO.

How very odd - I can only guess that as the date of Stafford 2 has changed from Sept to July (hence my edit!) and extra classes have been added in the form of T that people have slightly out of date info?

Last year you could do T classes on a cheap ticket which was about a tenner (can't remember exact price) so I don't think you'd get balloted form it on a ticket.

Ok so am totally confused now then is Stafford running a T or pre intro or not?
Please remember I do have blonde hair

From the BE website it appears it is - I would wait until the schedule is finalised as that will still be well before the opening date for entries, and worry about it then!

I am also blonde. They do have much more fun thogh!

To reiterate for you as an official:

Stafford is running Intro, PN, OPN over three days. I will need to check regarding the OIntro but definitely will not run training level. It also will ballot so day tickets are always priority to ballot.

Then why does the July event, which was previously running in Sept as Stafford 2 but has had a date change have T listed? Presumably someone had to alter the BE website to achieve the date change....and to add in the T class considering that the Omnibus schedule which I have right in front of me says the Sept event was only running Intro, OIntro, PN and OPN. That makes little sense to me.

Would be even better if there were ANY BE courses in Lancashire!

Well, will just aim for the intro, we did'nt have any problems with the jumping side at Skipton last time - will just have to make sure my confidence levels are back up!

Ah, I am one of those hateful people who lives in an area which rarely ballots and who has great fun picking which event to go to some weekends....slinks off.....

I'm sure if you take your time you'll be fine - you are both more than capable.

Lancs is good in other ways, I have 5 indoor comp centers less than 35 mins away and another two 45 mins away.

And as BE is so expensive, I can can't afford to do that many anyway, so just pick the nearest ones, then volunteer to help out at others to ensure I get in!!

Ill repeat my earlier posts to reiterate any misunderstanding.#

Stafford (1) i.e. spring event, is not running training level. Stafford (2) is now running this but this was the initial autumn event much later in the year which is now running July which has recently added this.#
