We thankfully managed to make it to our first little dressage party just before lockdown 2 hit, and P was a total superstar ?

It was a disgusting rainy day, (if I hadn't chosen to wear black leggings under my super cheap white riding tights the judge might have been in for a shock! ?), but P warmed up as well as she ever does at home. We did prelim 7 and 14, and the lovely judge let us do 2 back to back so that we didn't have to go back into the rain! She was distracted in the tests, and went a little green, but she's never worked between boards before, let alone with rain on an indoor school roof so I'm pleased that we had no major issues, just a little fussy in the contact and lacking in compulsion.

All in all a very good day, even if it did take me all afternoon to dry out properly, and we came away with a very credible 66% and 64%.

I'd love to hear anyone's tips for not freezing up and riding like a muppet in a test? I feel like I get so focused on where I'm going next that I forget to ride properly!
