Anyone else due soon? I am overdue now, feels like i have been waiting ages for my baby to arrive and still there is no sign of it coming anytime soon. I am getting really fed up now as all i want to do is go and mess around with my youngsters, i want to start taking them out for walks etc and to get my yard up together ready for next year but am struggling with most things at the moment due to me being so large i can hardly bend down let alone be on my feet for any amount of time.

My other half has been great with the horses giving them hay when i am having a weak day (most days i am still lifting bales of hay and poo picking) and it does make it easier that the horses are at home but i am just soooo fed up of waiting.

How are all you other pregnant mum's coping? How much are you doing with your horses?

25+3 and feeling fed up! Broken horse and broken me = very unhappy! I can imagine how fed up you are, after counting down til baby comes it must be very frustrating to still be waiting!
Hope everything works out soon for you and you'll soon be +1 down the stables doing things :)

38 weeks with number 2 and hoping won't go overdue. 1st day of maternity today so going to bring the 3 year old in for a groom. Am very tired now and struggling to do much with the horses, but still going. Cannot wait to get back riding.

hi there, i am 23 weeks with baby number 2, last time i rode every day includeing the day i gave birth , but this time has been totaly different, i have got pubis symphis somthing or other so basicaly my pelvis is falling apart so doing pretty much anything makes it hurt and after breaking my upper back riding all the exercizes to make my pelvis better make my upper back worse! :( i have so much stuff that needs to be done and sometimes i feel utterly miserable because anything i do hurts and worse i cant ride which has always been my one outlet for stress, i cant even bring the pones in on my own as its to long a walk for my crapy body up to the field from the yard, and i have FOUR MONTHS more of this tourture to go through!!!!!!!!!!
your baby will arrive soner than mine so chin up , you will be enjoying the ponies again in no time while i am still feeling like shite! xxx

38 weeks today and the first day of mat leave for me too. The midwife thinks I am going to he early so I am trying my best to get some R&R while I still can - not easy! My girl is out on grass livery and I have a sharer sorted so the plan is to only go check on her a couple of days a week til Mini Hipp arrives. Whether I'll actually be able to restrict myself like that is another matter...just don't tell my OH! He is convinced I am going to go into labour any second :)

I am 18 weeks and have just stopped riding - it's awful!! But my horse can have a buck/handstand on occasion and he's just not really safe enough :( and the other is only 3. It's my first - how do you cope with the riding withdrawal??! And how soon after did people start riding again?

I was back on board within 2 weeks with both of mine :)

Both normal deliveries. I didn't ride through either pregnancy, I was that sick I think i would have needed a sick bucket attached to my d ring! :D

22 weeks. Luckily have a safe horse to ride and my balance isn't affected yet. Miss jumping SO much though and would love a good gallop! Had pelvic problems early on but did exercises and haven't had any trouble since - being careful though so no climbing over gates or stuff like that. I'd hate to go overdue - hope baby comes soon OP!

I haven't been sick at all, feel totally fine and no bump yet....smug sorry!! But I just thought I should stop now, can't explain why really. Ive never been a nervous rider but I was just starting to get a bit...cautious. And asked myself why am I doing this?? Lol no idea what to do with the horse. He's probably just going to be off for a few months, husband might ride him for me if I beg but not much. Thought about getting someone to ride him but there's never anyone willing when you need them! Thought peoplewould jump at the chance of a nice horse for the summer! But oh well, suppose it's not forever..!
The real question is.......how soon is TOO soon to go small pony shopping!?

I am due with no 3 on Saturday - but not getting my hopes up because the other two were both 14 days late. I too am feeling totaly fed up. I didnt start Mat leave until 38 wks, much to the disgust of my Mother and had hoped to get some outside jobs done whilst waiting - mainly painting the block work at the base of the stables - nice and low, could do it on my hands and knees which is supposed to be good but the bliddy rain has put an end to that.

I stopped riding at Christmas because my hips hurt too much, as it is my old girls arthritis and respiration have taken a turn for the worse so looks like she might be permanently retiring any way:(

Takes twice as long to poo pick, muck out and groom, I am wadding and puffing like an old lady - in fact there are many similarities between me and my old mare! The worst thing is not being able to bend over, my thighs will be so strong from having to squat!

What realy pee's me off is people telling me to rest and relax, I wish they would just bog off and let me get on with it, I do what i feel comfortable with and what keeps me sane. And the next person who says - 'so you haven't had it yet?' Is going head first into the muck heap.

Grrr - is feeling grumpy a sign that labour is imminent?

Magicmillbrook - i know exactly how your feeling, i am now 40w+8d and can hardly move, i have been large for dates all the way through my pregnancy but have coped really well until now - getting comfy in bed is an absolute nightmare. I suppose i am lucky that my horses are only young 1 & 2 years old and they live out but are on my land at home but its still a struggle to do them. As you said the poo picking takes longer, everything does!

I to am getting fed up of the constant telephone calls asking if there is any news or comments like 'you still haven't had it yet then'. I have taken to putting my phone on silent now and have told people if there was any news we will be in contact.

Good luck to all the other mums to be on here, lets hope the weather clears up a bit so we can get out and enjoy our horses :)

Got back on my boy yesterday - the same day I got the all clear from my doctor after my C section 6 weeks ago! It was good to be back in the saddle, I haven't ridden since week 22. I haven't stopped smiling since! :)

Just to cheer you up - I went three weeks overdue with my first 40+21!!!! I was the first one due in my antenatal class and the last one to deliver :)
