I am 3 months gone with my 3rd still riding and will continue to do so until I cant get off anymore due to huge baby bump!!!! although my mare is giving me a nudge to help me on at the mo bless her! with my 1st daughter I rode until 6 months - I will carry on looking after my horses throughout my pregnancy although they can live out if necessary and I do have a great back up team.....lucky me
hi i rode till i was 8 months and that was only because getting on and off became difficult!!! i felt fine.... though i didn't ride the youngsters.
just see how you feel and do what you can cope with i even managed a dressage comp at 6 months tough i had to borrow a jacket and boots as mine didn't fit lol
My mum only found out she was three months pregnant because of riding. She was catapulted into a log on the XC course, fractured her hip bone, and found out she was preggers with me!! I had to be born by C-section obiviouslt because things were a little fragile!
I rode up until the day before my due date !
My son was then 2 weeks over due and had to be induced, friends said this was because he was still holding on !
(I did slow down and towards the end was only ploddy hacking !)
I didn't at all really,felt so crap i didn't want to either,maybe 6 weeks.
I figured it was my body trying to tell me something.
So i didn't ride and i've got a beautiful healthy baby girl.......and a fat arse!
I carried on riding until i was 7 months gone but only dressage and hacking on my older horse. I was lucky that i was very small bump wise throughout!! I was terribly sick until little one was born but giving up wasnt an option- it was the only thing keeping me sane!!
