Pregnant/Lactating Mares

Do you/Would you feed them garlic???my mares due soon and has garlic in her feeds just wondering wether she should still be having it

i have a mare with a 3 week old foal at foot and have never stopped feeding her the garlic and she is looking as good as ever

Thanks guys was just wondering as I know when people breastfeed they are advised to give up spicy/garlic strong foods...just wondering if it was the same with horses...

as I do let my hand slip with garlic especially in summer

Load of rubbish IMO, probably put about by the powdered milk people. What do they think people in eg India who eat lots of curry /south of France lots of garlic do when pregnant/breastfeeding???

I'm sure french babies love garlic milk
