Pregnant ladies - turning the horses away?

I am around 10 weeks pregnant now and have been feeling rather ill and just about keeping myself out of hospital (hyperemesis gravidarum sufferer here with 3 previous pregnancies!!) although touch wood since taking meds i have been feeling better My 4yr old was turned away about 4 weeks ago and am planning to give him off until baby is born (early june) this is what happened with my other horse too (little boy is 2 in jan) when she was 5 i just turned her away for a year and she came back good.
Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and has a baby due next year round the same time?
Its kind of lonely being pregnant and feeling like crap everyday! i really miss riding already

When i wasn't great about 12 weeks I kept them going on lunge till i felt better. Big man has sharer riding now and I've stopped. I'm on board pony a little bit. Hoping to keep her going till my old sharer is home for Xmas (uni) and she'll ride over her hols. I'll turn her away till after baby is here once old sharer is back at uni.

I'm 30 weeks tomorrow - BUT - if pony was a youngster I'd have turned away. I have 12 years telling me this pony handles any ground with sure feet, and will go out of her way to look after me, I've lived with, eaten with and relied on this pony for 12 years so bit different to ur situation. I think ur right and time to process info and mature doesn't hurt.

MiniBoo2 was born in September so not the same dates with you OP but I can sympathise with the HG after two HG pregnancies. Even though my HG was relatively mild the nausea plus looking after a toddler did me in and I didn't ride at all this time round. Hang in there with the HG, it makes you feel completely miserable but it will pass when the little one arrives.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and still riding, although only about twice a week and I very much trust my horse. I was going to simply turn him away but have a friend who has rode him a few times and fell in love so I'm lucky as she will pick up the slack for me for the next few months.

I plan on stopping riding in a few weeks.

My horse has been turned out for almost 2 months now, baby due jan, hope to start work lunging etc.. March time. Though to be fair when I was riding pg it wasn't really work just slowly plodding couple times a wk.
My mare is 5 only broken late last yr but didn't really get ridden till this yr due to weather so the break will hopefully be good for both of us.

I'm 29 weeks (baby due at end of Jan) and intend to keep my 4 year old going. We're only hacking 2-3 times a week covering about 10 miles in total. I can't imagine I'd be too comfortable schooling so figure it will give her time to develop but am also happy she's seeing things and learning. I always hack with someone else either riding or walking and my girl is a total babe when out.
