Pregnant or grass belly..?!

We bought a 14 yo Sports Horse mare a couple of months ago who has put on TONS of weight...she was in good condition when we got her and has had good grass but she has an unreasonably fat belly. Where she lived was sn Arab stallion so it is possible she has been covered. The previous owner says she isnt pregnant as was coming into season and the day we bought she gave her an anti pregnancy jab while we were there?? What do you guys think?? Sorry if I sound a bit thick but I have only ever had boys...!!!!

Without getting the vet out who knows I have a gelding who I bought who was on good grass and you would swear he was was carrying twins, he is enormous , we are starving him and he is still 700kg on a weight tape and he has lost 100kg weight.

If your regime has been strict and she is loosing no weight, ours is loosing then I am afraid you will have to consider pregnancy or another problem.

How many ccs of lutalyse did she give the mare? And was it a one-off shot or was she doing the micro dose method?
