I have a saddle for sale on preloved. Someone is interested in it. They are not local so I would have to post it. They are concerened about it fitting their horse so Im not sure how to proceed. Do they just buy it and risk ot not fitting or should I say I will have it back if it does not fit. How do you sort out payment? ie paypal etc. Sorry for the questions but I thought someone local would buy it. what about postage? how much would it cost to post. Its a old saddle so not worth a lot.

I suggest either they bring their horse to you to try or the buy and take the risk - No way would I buy back a saddle that had been out of my sight.

Get quotes for postage and give them the option of paying postage/courier or collecting.

You want cleared funds BEFORE you send or cash on collection.

I have sold saddles on preloved I just take a cheque and send the saddle when it clears, unfortunately when you buy a saddle and cant try it you just take a chance, I would not offer to take it back if it doesnt fit, this is why whenever I have bought one I only look at local ones, I once took a saddle to try for someone on preloved but it was only about ten miles away and was worth it as I sold it.

They can pay you on paypal if you both have an account using your email address. Postage is usually about £25 I think. I would not accept returns but give all measurments and describe fully also take photos

Take as many measurement and sizes as you can and then its up to them what they do if it doesn't fit - I wouldn't offer to have it back once bought. I posted a saddle for £15 not long ago :)
