Got a saddle up for sale and I have had 5 people who wanted to leave a deposit or were local so wanted to call and collect. Said yes to allcomers but no one called or emailed back. Why do people do this on sale sites, is it so they think they are reserving the item in case they dont get another one they want. Driving me potty, going to take saddle of sale as cant be bothered any more

I've been selling some of my old pony's rugs on preloved. I've had a few people say "have you still got this one for sale" etc, I reply saying yes, get told yes they want it...and never hear back.

So I feel your pain!

I am having the opposite problem! Have sent several enquiries for various tack and no response! Why advertise and then not reply to a message??

Ive put on my ads that they must collect but the amount of people that still email and asking if I will post!!! Ive given up emailing people back..

I think it's a form of window shopping, they like to go through the pretence of buying something, with no intention of actually doing so.
Messaging people about their tack/horse/dog for sale is just a way of passing the time...

Thats exactly what im going through atm!

I have enquired about two things on preloved recently asking for photos. The first person asked me to call them (I dont want a chat!) and the second said if I searched for the item on ebay there were similar ones I could see pics of

I messaged several sellers of saddles on preloved asking for certain photos and not one of them has got back to me and sent the photos!

I've also had people say they will have items I'm selling on there and ask for paypal details and then never heard from them again.

Have just relisted the last lot of items to try again.

I have had success with preloved, but there do seem to be a lot that you have to filter through first.
