Brand new turnout rug with fixed neck, unwrapped, put on horse turned out in field on it's own.

Horse had a token roll and a bit of a hoon but nothing out of the ordinary, stays out for an hour.

Comes in and the lining between the neck cover and rug has come completely unstitched - exposing stuffing and padding etc

Just wondered if anyone else had a rug which had done this?

Worth sending it back or just get it repaired but essentially that means, cleaned re-proofed and repaired!

I had this happen last year. Sent hood back and got sent a brand new one. They are very good at replacing things and rugs normally stand up to tons and tons of wear and tear.

give them a call i have heard they are very good at sending out spares if there is a problem !!

one of the girls at my yard was sent a neck with no metal loops for the straps they just sent her a new one !!

It sounds faulty as my PE rug is 2 years old and in very good condition despite my allergy riddle horse constantly itchting himslef through it with his teeth, the fence, the mud, well pretty much anything, despite this mine hasnt got a single tear in it. Give them a call.

Their customer service is good, they may offer to send a replacement. One rug as part of my buster trio was missing a velcro strap to attach the neck to. They sent out a replacement rug within 24 hours and told me to keep the original

I had one PE rug and it didnt survive one month, it had 3 repairs in that month and then was past repair. I know use horsewear with no problems but by sound of it i was just unlucky. Send it back, its in your rights!!
