premier equine fly masks

has anyone tried the premier equine fly masks if you have are they good as i might get one for my pony (must be strong he has ripped every flymask ive ever bought him!!)

I have the one with out the nose flap for my boy, and it has done him really well, the only time he has lost it all summer is when he stuck his head though the rails to talk to the foals, and I thnk one must have ripped it off him!!

Yes I have a couple of them- fits really well, washes/wears well, velcro always stays done up so horse has never lost it in field- nice and soft material as well and all at a good price!

They're brilliant, my coblet has never pulled her PE mask off, they are so good I bought another so I have one in reserve. Mine has the full nose as she's white and it stops her muzzle getting sunburnt, cannot recommend them highly enough

I have had one which I used on Stinky. It is not bad, but did rub very slightly and has only lasted one year before starting to fall apart. That said, mine wear them 24 x 7 from May to September.

I am going to buy him another Cashel Crusader which are softer and tend to last two - three years before starting to need repairs.

The EP is good value, but my second choice in masks.

wow i never imagined to see such good reviews thanks guys im deffo getting one now i wanted a cashel crusader but there sooo expensive and i ont do ebay lol
one last question about them thoughdo thy have a hole to put the forelock through?

I Have one for my throughbred and the best I have ever had as really soft. Yes they have a hole for the forelock which is quite big so any size forelock will fit.

I usually love PE stuff so I expect their masks will be excellent. However, I currently have a shires one with ears and nose and it's excellent.... Just an alternative in case you need one!

great i have 2 shires ones and my pony ripped through both of them allthoug they are great fly masks

Great I got one from hickstead this year and I must say its the best one ive ever brought. Cost £12, doesnt rub, stays on, good sizing. I like the fact that its a little stiff over the eyes which means it doesnt fall in and rub around the eye area.

i got a PE full nose one from hickstead too! bargain as he had trashed his mega expensive Cashel! definitely recommend!

My boy dislikes the fly masks which have the nose covers on them! He hates them! But needs his nose covered coz he gets sunburned else. If I put one on, he just snorts and snorts for about ten minutes, and tries to rub his nose along the ground. Poor chappie!

thanks everyone was gonna buy one at gatcombe but forgot to go back to stall and buy it
