Has anyone had problems with premier equine rugs leaking when they are new?

And if so what was the outcome, did they accept the rug back without any problems?

Yes, it leaked in only a light shower.

I should have sent it back but I was having a bit of a terrible time (filly ran through a fence) and I ended up giving it away to a friend to use as a stable sheet (it was a LW turnout rug).

Bloody hell:mad:

I have only had this a couple of weeks, bought the whole damn shubang too and its going to cost a fortune to send back. Its leaked through both seams and it wasn't heavy rain today, only noticed because I took the liner out to wash.

Don't really want a replacment if they are known for it as what do you do in the middle of winter if the next one fails?? !!

Bloody bloody hell :mad::mad::(

In most of the rug threads, people have nothing but praise for PE rugs, so I do feel that I was unlucky. However it was a high denier rug and it wasn't just the seams that leaked, the rug wasn't even drizzleproof!

Yes. Mostly they're excellent, but you do get the odd one that leaks, if you send it back their customer service is excellent and they will quickly send out a replacement

I agree, they seem to get great press which is why I bought it, that and the fact that they were deep and I was sick of my old boy flashing his belly all winter in his Rambo.

Will give them a ring tomorrow, just wanted to know if this is a common occurance with trio or just bad luck

Cheers for the responses, much appreciated.

Bloody hell :D

Thanks for the further responses, feeling a bit better now, will give them a ring tomorrow and see what the script is with returning

Will update once I have spoken with them

What one is it and colour? Was going to place an order in the morning but it's one batch I'd rather just try a different colour.

I've got but praise for PE though.

I bought the trio in red, but not as a set as I didn't want the necks (root of all evil :D) It was a heavy denier 1600??? and its 100g and then you put in the liners

Have 2 of the lightweights, neither lasted more than the first season so wouldn't buy another one.
If they'll have the rug back, get rid and buy a FAL pro, you can't go wrong with them. However, even the mega cheapie masta lightweight is now in its third year and only leaks in really heavy rain.
Don't get me wrong, PE do some nice stuff - but there's better and more practical rugs on the market.
