Premier Equine rugs - any good?

Not as good as they used to be
Very heavy when wet. Take ages to dry
The new generation shires are much better and I uses to hate shires!! Has to be the
More expensive shires tho.

Hmm, in a bit of a quandry.

They look like they'll stand up to a lot, but the comments about being heavy are a little concerning; I'm not sure a very heavy when wet rug will do B any good.

Seems to be like marmite - if you love them you rave about them, if not you dislike them!

Will have a think.

Thanks all :)

Two horses on the yard have rubbed withers for the first time ever and the only common denominator was they both had PE rugs (for the first time).
It could be a complete coincidence but the worry is that they are exceptionally heavy and that this could be a factor.
Both are currently in Wugs to try and resolve the wither issues.
I would be interested to hear of any other similar experiences.
