....Thinking of ordering a much-needed new turn out for my boy today!

Question: Do Premier Equine rugs come up big/small?

He's currently wearing a weatherbeeta Orican 6'6, and it's a tiny bit small. (He's a 16.2 warmblood)

Perhaps I will go for a 6'9... any advice guys?

thanks!

They are great rugs so I would also recommend.
They are genorous sizes compared to many other rugs so my advice would be to go with the 6'6" initially if the Weatherbeeta is only a little too small for him.

I'd say they're generous but not massively large so would go for the 6'6. I love them - they are the only rugs I've found that my boy is comfortable in :)

I would say the 6'6" will be fine-they are generous sizing.(Everyone on our yard had to drop a size from their usual Horseware/Wbeeta/Masta size.)

depends what weight you want - the lower gram ones fit to standard size - so 6'9 for my mare - the winter buster 450gm i have to get in 7' or her derrier hangs out :o (it is a rather large one though ;))

and ditto above - my mare is very chunky (more feathers than you think are trimmed off those legs ;)) and they dont look like a mini skirt on her (compared to many others)

Stupidly BIG..! drowned my horse when i bought one, clips all broke within a couple of months and the dam thing when wet was horrible , weighted a ton, ended up binning it i hated it that much - never again

They are heavy when wet, I'll give you that.

Not had a problem with clips on mine tho, and it's now going into it's 8th winter. Just luck of the draw maybe.

They are generous but not enough to go down a size. Mine wears 6ft3 in PE and it fits nicely and is lovely and deep, both the heavyweights and her 40g. The Busters have shoulder gussets and therefore are roomier round the shoulder than the Bustinos, so if your horse has big shoulders watch out for this. In the same size a Derby House or Amigo is a touch snug around the shoulders but not small enough to need to go up a size, a 6ft6 in derby house swamps her.

My 40g is smaller than my 300g, but not quite small enough for me to go up a size, I think it is just the lack of shoulder gussets.

My horse measures up as a 6 ft (ie chest to tail length), a PE 6ft fits perfectly, but I always need to go up a size for weatherbeeta or horsewear. She's a WB x TB so fairly fine.

I'd say about the same but different if that makes sense

A 6'6" weatherbeeta taka fits mine perfectly (landas a bit tight)
The PE is far too tight round the shoulders but comes down to his knees so too deep. Comes to the same point at his tail.

So if you have a horse that rugs look like a mini skirt on definitely recommend PE but not for us.

All mine are now PE - love 'em!

In your case, I'd go for 6'6". My lad is a 15.3 IDxTB (50% of each!) and 6'3" fits him just right.

I got one in the summer the duo with liners, they are great and she keeps her on even when wet and in the stable dont do changing rugs so they dry and are not a problem with being heavy. mine is 16.3 WBxTB and is in a 6ft 9 but was in a 6ft 9 orican which was too small round the shoulders. they are bigger but also longer as this nearly down to her knees so looks bigger too.

Well I've just tried my new Trio on and I'd say it fits pretty true to size. A little big without the liners in but not nearly enough to go down a size. Very impressed with the quality though :)
