We received a Premier Equine order today for a pony at work and I must admit I am really surprised by the great quality! I've heard many good things about them on here but really didn't expect them to be THIS good!

I am usually a complete Horseware fan but I am very tempted to now buy one of the PE rugs for my TB and sell his Rhino next Winter (which is slightly to small!).

My TB is very High withered although not a typical spindly thing so do you think they would fit him well?

Also what do the sizes come up like? He is in a 6'6" Rhino but could do with it being slightly roomier, would a 6'9" PE drown him? (I would be getting the one with all the removable layers!).

And finally :o has anyone had any problems with manes being rubbed by PE rugs? I went for the Rhino as I know that the way the neck attaches to the rug doesn't rub....

Thanks in advance!

cant say about rubbing. I know a few people who have PE rugs, they dont rub there manes, but every horse is diff.
Sizing i would say stick with the normal 6'6 as horseware rugs tend to be smaller than other makes (i always go a size up for horseware). I think the PE are quite generous size wise.

use it on my tb who has very high withers but also v spindly i LOVE them just buying new set for my new tb they never rub manes for me however are quite deep just warning :)

Thanks all, think I will buy one as soon as possible (hopefully before the 25% off offer ends)!!

So the general feeling is that they come up bigger then Horseware rugs?

Our whole yard wears the PE 450g Buster rugs. None of them got mane rubs, chest rubs or any other kind of rubs. THe sizing is normally quite good though it did get slightly strange - I bought a 6ft in brown for my tb and it is 2in too small, put on one of the bosses red 6fts and it fitted him perfectly so if you buy brown go for a size up! Otherwise order as normal lol! They are normally quite deep but I much prefer that han to having them wear miniskirts plus it means you can fit more underneath them if needs be.

The only thing I don't like are all the clips! Clips at the front that you can't remove without rendering the rug useless and clips on the fillet string. My lad lived out 24/7 in his rug for the winter, he got quartered in a weird way when the weather was nice enough and I duct taped over all of the clips as knowing him he would have clipped himself onto a fence!

I have a PE fleece and a light weight turn out and really like the fit of both of them on my TB. High enough on the shoulder and deep in the body too. Might have to have a look if there is a sale!

I have a PE lightweight on my TB mare - she has really high withers and is super skinny. It's a fabulous rug - we've had some real downpours here this summer, but it has never ever leaked - unlike the Rambo one I have on my gelding. I find the PE sizes quite generous...
