basically... Tom is a pain in the proverbial with rugs. He runs up and down the fence when Ron is out, and the rugs get shredded on the gate.

He won't fit into anything we've tried other than horseware, and even they are tight on his shoulders! But we've seen the premier equine rugs and were wondering how they fit?

also, how do they stand up to wear and tear generally?
Is the neck on them generous?
are they good value for money?

cookies and a big mug of tea for any help!!

I love premier equine rugs and only have them or Horseware.

Never had any trouble with them- sizing is standard, so your horse would be fine in his normal size and the necks are nice and generous, with elastication around the top for extra protection.

I think they're great value for money, however all mine are over a year old and I have heard that the stitching has given way on some of the newer rugs. i would still buy from them though as my experience has been great.

I have a true MW and PE rugs wont fit him arround the neck. Its odd as he does have there flyrug which is a great fit but tried a fleece and a turnout and there was no way I could have kept it. He couldnt get his head down it was that tight. I pulled them forward to give him the room and then it was about 6 inches too short.
I have Rambos but a size bigger to allow a bit more room. He does have a big shoulder though.

They must just suit the build of my horse then as I have several PE rugs in different weights and all are 6ft. His Horseware rugs have to be 6ft3. Any other rugs are all 6ft on him.

ETA: He's a 15.2hh MW sporthorse build

I have a 17.3 ISH who wears a 7' Weatherbeeta turnout which fits him like it was made for him. He also has (had) a 7'3" PE HWT turnout with neck cover - it is too tight across the shoulders, too short and he has ripped the zip off the neck cover as it was too tight. He also had a 7' Amigo LWT which is too tight round the shoulders too. Really hard to judge what will fit individuals

Thats interesting to here, I bought a 6ft PE turnout for my slim build WB and that was too short, as soon as she put here head down her bum stick out. Fitting in all other respects. No don't no whether to get a 6ft 6 PE as she is now in 6ft 3 rugs in all other makes.

Any suggestions...

- they both have big shoulders, chests and necks and I find the Premier Equines fit really well and don't rub. My cob is 15h and takes 6'6" rugs and the wb is 16h and takes 6'9" - little treasures!!!

Have to agree with Charlyn but only used a t/o last year so cant comment on stitching.

Always found them very speedy for delivery and communication with them is great. Have bought tendon and magnetics boots too and thought great value.

Highly recommended
