premier equine rugs

I have one and it is the best rug i have ever owned. It fits my 18hh Hunter like a glove and never moves even when he roles in the worst mud.

I love it.

Yes definitely! I have the Buster Trio and Stable Trio and they are absolutely brilliant-good fit, very snug and very very tough.

ditto everyone else BEST RUGS ever

I feel your pain....... I am waiting for them to put the light weight turnout in the sale but am hoping they don’t do it for a couple of months..

They are excellent rugs, warm, dry and well fitting. The only thing I would say is that if your horse is normally between two rug sizes go for the smaller one as they come up generous.

Have heard that they are very heavy to pick up / move around. Very difficult to take on / off horse when the rug is wet.

I've got the Buster waffle - washed as per the instructions & it shrunk (by 3 ins!). It's a well made 'solid' rug.

Have been looking at the turnouts but slightly put off by my friends comments re them being v heavy. Think will stick with Fal / Weatherbeeta!

My Masta HW TO is way heavier than the PE HW turnout... I find ALL rugs are quite heavy when wet, and the PE is no heavier than most. The fantastic fit (go right under the horse) is a God send when my short legged pony whizzes around in the mud... she gets a lot less belly covering of the brown stuff than she did in her other rugs. The neck being elasticated means they stay up and she as snug as a bug in a lovely rug

Love them- on my cobs, they go down to their knees and we call them the mobile field shelters

They dont absorb water when wet so are no heavier than any other brand. Remember the PE heavyweight is 450gm rather than the 350gm most other brands claim is heavyweight.

That weight is related to the physical weight of the material so a 450 gram per metre fabric will weigh 100 grams per metre more than the 350gram. Hope that clarifies the weight issue!

Ive brought 4 from the sale, have about 4-5 already as they really are fab rugs- worth the money before the sale.

They're the only neck covers I'll use as they fit perfect.

Without doubt get one!

I also have the Storm Buster - no heaver than I would expect for a 450g rug. Also agree about them being generously sized.

Really like them have just bought 2 stable rugs in the sale waiting for them to arrive, always found them to be good quality for the price

Hi I am also looking into getting a premier equine turnout....but was just wondering if the elastic hoody bits ever rub the poll/mane area?

Thanks

Hasnt on mine or my friends horse.

I have a 6'3 450g turn out which fits superbly, is like a duvet and doesn't rub (I hate layering rugs and this one is so warm I don't have to!). The hood is long enough, doesn't slip and fastens very easily being secure in the same time.
We also have a fleece/cooler and it's excellent too.
Really fab rugs.

The hood is quite big and doesn't fit very tightly (at least not on mine). Mine wears lycra hoody anyway which keeps mane clean and tidy and prevents from rubbing mane, withers and shoulders.

Ditto everyone else - my boy has outgrown his 6'0 so ordered him a 6'3 in the sale yesterday - after a bit of persuasion to part with xmas cash lol

All of my outdoor rugs are PE - wouldn't waste money on anything else now.

Really like them! Don't rub, nice deep cut, like that the top of the neck nearest his head is elasticated so it doesn't tickle his ears and annoy him, they're reasonably cheap esp in the sale. Have had few more arrive today- yay!

They are great rugs. The only down side is if you have a grumpy horse who puts his ears back a lot you can get the "hoodie" look.

Murph is out 24/7 in the snow and is very snug, and bone dry. My only complaint about them is they don't go as small as 5'3", would really like to get one for the pony.
