Hi, looking for opinions/advice/experiences with Premier Equine saddles, particularly the Bordeaux Synthetic Monoflap Cross Country Saddle

I have always been told to steer clear of the synthetic types such as Wintec and Thorowgood, as they’re nearly impossible to fit, how do these saddles compare?

There is limited information on what types of horses this saddle is designed to fit, I have a 16.2 TB with medium-high withers and fairly decent shoulders, maybe a touch croup-high too. Would it suit or am I wasting my time?

Thank you!

I currently have a 17" synthetic dressage saddle for sale which came with youngster. Changeable headpiece. Decent width over the spine and definitely designed more for a horse with withers than a cob who is growing into his very wide cob gene pool. I'm not convinced it works for cob shoulders either so it depends on how big shoulders you're looking at.

I think the lady I bought him off uses their jump saddles mainly and pads / shims for the horse she's on (she produces and sells on so needs the flexibility).

In terms of materials I think for a synthetic saddle its pretty good and robust.

Thank you this is really helpful, I suspected it might be the case that they suit finer types rather than wider!
I would definitely be interested in the dressage saddle depending on price? I have access to PE at trade price see!
