Premier Equine Saddles

Mmmm..... interesting!

I've not seen these; my thoughts are that IF thinking of a synthetic saddle which has an interchangeable gullet, I'd be a bit chary of these as it might be that ONLY the PE gullets can be used with these saddles?? I'd suspect this might be the case, and if you're going for an interchangeable-gullet synthetic you might as well go for a well known brand like Thorowgood or Wintec??

Having said that, they do look rather nice, and seem reasonable (tho' the quality might be an issue?) - and might be something alternative to the other brands that are out there, especially if (like me) you know that your horse can't take a Wintec OR Thorowgood.

I'm not a fan of synthetic so would have to try to know. For those kind of prices, albeit not mega expensive, you can get decent quality named brand second hand leather saddles, which is where I'd put my money personally.....but I'm old fashioned!!

Sceptical.

Gullets look a similar shape to wintecs with that weird kink.

Not that cheap for a synthetic that you have to guess on the fit (most yards or saddlers would have a wintec or TG or know how they fit, for instance).

Plus PE change their ranges pretty often, I wonder how long they will stock them or if it will be a flash in the pan thing which would make them pretty hard to sell on.

They seem to be the first mono flap Synthetic saddles I have come across, although I may have completely missed other brands!

I suppose, although not sure you could find a second hand mono flap for a similar price!

Sure- I think you're probably right with the monoflap thing on both counts....too modern for me to be thinking about!! ?

I’m looking for a 16,5” dressage saddle for my wide pony & really struggling to find 2nd hand so am going to investigate these PE Bletchley ones. I’ve heard that monoflaps are good for shoulder freedom.

I've heard from people that have tried them that they are a bit of an odd fit and dont really suit wide horsess. I'd be interested to hear if you do try one though

They are not a brand I would consider I think they are quite expensive for what they are I would rather buy a better quality second hand make.

I don't think they would suit my horses either because they are so wide so not for me I am afraid.
