Now they’ve been out for a few years, can I have opinion of PE synthetic saddles?

Is the material soft and flexible? Does it wear well? Are they lightweight? What sort of back profile do they fit? Does that vary depending on which model you go for or are they all on the same tree?

When I bought my cob in 2022 he came with the dressage version. He quickly outgrew it (he was just 4) but i liked it and thought the quality was good. It sold very easily.

I know they’ve changed the models and gullets recently so can’t speak for those but I bought one of the older style synthetic jump saddles and like it. Haven’t had much use it as it only fits my Welsh x TB who’s no longer in work now. I originally bought it for my warmblood but it just didn’t sit right (too curved). It’s lightweight, flexible and comfortable to ride in.

I had the old monoflap cross country style (Bordeaux I think it was called) and whilst I only had it for a short while, I really loved it. Really comfy to sit in, lightweight and the saddle looked beautiful.

If you're going for the older style it is worth bearing in mind that the gullets for them tend to go out of stock mega fast and can be hard to get a hold of x

We put my daughters horse on loan and the loaner purchased him a PE synthetic monoflap jump saddle. Sadly it didnt fit him well, he had huge shoulders but it did the job temporarily for her and she absolutely loved it. She said it was lovely for her to ride in and incredibly light.
