Hmmm I got a ate for my guy and they got v wet abd muddy one day and slipped badly. Also I find they don't fit him that well. He's quite a fine 16.1 WB so I ordered the suggested size all round but they were too small for his hinds so had to exchange them. I've never been happy with the fit on all 4 legs. I find they
I find they bunch between the bottom two fastenings. They also seem to come up on eBay a lot compared to most other PE kit so I wonder if people dint like them that much after a few uses.
I generally love PE gear so have to say am surprised on these, they are the TSX tendon ones I think. If you are after a set though (despite my comments ) PM me as mine are just gathering dust!!!
I use the extreame comp boots every day they are great, I have the support wraps as well, they are good but I made the mistake of rideing on wheat field and the small bits of straw got stuck in them n it took ages to get them out.
Not impressed myself I have the air cooled the netting on the air vents has broken and they do not seem very cool as the horse legs underneath them are always very sweaty!
Lialls, i'm looking for a boot for general protection when schooling at home and something that my mare could also wear to go XC schooling and jumping. Never bought any boots for her before as we were mainly just hacking. Any recommendations welcome
I've used them on alot of horses - I think they are worth the money.
They are ideal for when i don't have time/inclination to bandage and i've done pretty much everything in them school, hack, jump, travel.
Never slipped and ended up replacing them for a smarter looking pair before they have worn out
I have a few pairs and I like them. Mine have never slipped (even out hunting when they've been covered in mud!) and they fit my mare perfectly. She wears them for hacking, hunting and cross country. I like that they offer support as well as great protection. The only think I dislike about them is that the horses legs tend to get a little sweatier and hotter than I'd prefer
These or a bog standard brushing boot would be fine then
Speighty - As my horse is only young she doesnt wear them for long so i havn't noticed her legs being warm or hot but i am aware that this could happen. If or when it does i might change to a brushing boot or something else, depending on what work shes doing really.
