Ok I am going to a local ODE, with a view to building up to BE intro.

Which would be the best boots, from PE?

Their XC boots, or front and hind air cooled competition boots (in the sale...)

After someone mentioned the air cooled competition boots on here last week I had a look and ordered a pair on Thursday!
I was very surprised when I arrived home from the yard last night to see them wait for me,

(Im in Ireland) so very impressed.

I really like them, will fit them on P tonight and hope to use them if I go XC; the great thing is they are not supposed to retain water and they should keep the legs cool to!

oooh i just bought a pair for my HT on sunday and they are fab!(the hind air cooled ones in the sale)The medium fitted him perfectly (16hh very fine tb) and gave really good protection-vv pleased with them

I liked the front cooling boots (in sale) and kept them, however I felt that the hind boots did not offer enough protection and have sent back. I am going to invest in the newer version of hind boots as they have included a built in cannon guard.

I have the front and back air colled ones and competed in them all last season! Really recommend them! After all, most tendon failure is as a result of the tendon core overheating so every little helps!!

ive got the air cooled front ones, i did have the back ones but i didnt like them so i sold them on ebay! I think their newer range of boots is very good.

I have front and rear of the air-cooled ones that are in the sale. I found they need the straps taping as they seemed rather long.

I have just bought a set of these also and was thinking the same thing!

To position them correctly (e.g. with the tendon guard over the tendon), the straps look like they'll point under the horse (towards the opposite side) rather than towards the back (if you see what I mean?!). Problem is they're properly finished with stitching and stuff, so can't just trim to size!

Only got them delivered today, so away home from work in 10mins to see if they fit ok or not!

Seem pretty good for the price though. Wish the hinds had a cannon guard though.
