Premier Leagues, Fame (but not fortune), Gallops and Stressage!

Oh absolutely just like not all TB's are fragile and mental! I really feel for the people around you with horses breaking down.

Glad hackneys are on your list 😊, I've just received Topaz's regional qualification email so hopefully this hackney cross can promote the breed in dressage lol.

Haflingers are getting very streamlined now - they're good at dancing :D

I really wanted to come and see you, but I worked out you were riding when I was working (Friday?), and I have never understood the gates either. Having had a horse bolt towards a busy A road I know how you will have felt :(

Fantastic seeing the vids on FB - speedy boys!!

Great report as always, and you all look so polished :)

Thank you for the reply :)

Interesting to hear, you definitely picked a couple of good'uns. I would personally have a TB over a warmblood any day. Having had both I feel I'm allowed to comment :D

Really interesting reply, thanks! :D Laafet, I'm with you on that one: I'm medium-ish height, but with really long legs and short body, so I'm perfectly happy on a big horse, but I have to say I really appreciate my wee compact horses, especially when I'm out and about and need to mount from the ground. :P

all 3.
I love the heart of the TB, ok CS can be a nappy so and so but when he wants to do it, he will give you 100%.
Budget was limited.
I really think some of these horses get used up and spat out by the industry without enough life skills to secure a future.

Ive had WB before, both old fashioned and more modern and the dilemma i generally face is that because of my arthritis i cannot ride a very wide horse every day.
The very modern, narrow, tall ones seem to break. Everyone i know with a very modern sort, has had a catalogue of injuries.
The very modern mare i had broke (SJ'er) so it doesnt fill me with confidence!

i do like giving the under dog a chance and i like the re-training of them.

for the next one we are half heartedly looking at akhal tekes!

PS, I didn't know you had arthritis. Makes me admire you even more!!

I have it too and it's a pain in the bum, I totally get the wide horse thing.

And you know my opinion on the Akhal Teke idea. Please get one!!! PLEASE. I'm visiting turkey later this year, can bring one back for you?

Out of interest....will one of you download Orux Maps and map your gallops. I'm intigued to find out why speed your boys are doing! :) (from someone who spends far too much time looking at gallop graphs at work!)
