Hello,

Anyone have any experiance using these boots? They are for sale on the PE website, and I am quite tempted, if I didnt get these I would go for prolites...

Also any ideas on sizing, I would say B classes as a large horse, but you never know what sizes come up like until they're on!!

Thank you

I bought a pair in the sale only problem is the only ones in Fleur's size were white :p

I have only used them a few times so far when hacking and jumping in the school and so far soo good. Legs certainly seem cool even after a 2 hour hack with fair bit of canter work, they don't rub and the cob size which I brought fit her very nicely. She is a cob size in most things though but is only 16h ish (we don't believe her passport which says she is 16h2 ;) ) Going to try them out eventing properly on Saturday but certainly so far so good in my opinion.

large are generous. I have medium in both front and hind for my 16.2hh TB mare. Originally bought hind in large but were much too big and had to get medium which she fits to the max. If in doubt they give the actual dimensions either on the website or in the catalogue so I would check if in any doubt as everything else for my mare is large/full

I have a set... in white!!!! D: and I absolutely love them!! They are SO light, don't hold water etc and stay put!! I think we have a med in front and large behind on my 16.1 WB. But I might double check that! I have fully embraced the white boots into my XC colour scheme so they don't look too bad!!! :D

I am a big fan of these :) my Arab has small all round in black with pink vents! And they have been going strong for probably 4 seasons now? Never seem to rub or slip. Youngster has a set in plain black, he is 16.2 with reasonable bone (lots of pics in an earlier thread of mine) and he has medium in front and large behind. He did have medium behind but outgrew them! I'd say width more of a factor than length, mine is a MW I'd say (ish x kwpn) and the mediums didn't stretch round his cannon bone behind!

SJ - thats interesting to know, I will be shopping for my TB mare at some point, looks like the small ones for her to!

I also use them as you can see in the pic <-

really rate them, as said above, light, cool, don't hold water and offer great protection

I have the white ones with the blue vent. They are good and don't hold water like the rip of copies of the SMB on the market and similar. The only criticism is that the straps dont feel that strong and feel like they will eventually stetch or give but I haven't really used them much, probably about half a dozen times all in all last season.

Ive had them too but they rubbed his hind legs. They are however very lightweight, wash well and dry very quick. I had size large front and back for my 16.2 ID x Shire x TB. He has quite a lot of bone and takes large front, xl hinds in woof boots.
