Premierflex or Suppleaze Gold?

Mt 18 y.o tb mare had a hard life before I got her, racing, polo, eventing and is now starting to get a bit stiff. I've heard good things about both Premierflex and Suppleaze, but can't decide which one is best.

Reccomendations/experiences please!

I used to use Suppleaze, but stopped as was told the spec isn't good enough, so then used Cosequin (fab spec) but was expensive so I now use Riaflex Complete, which has an amazing spec (and reviews) and is so much cheaper

Hmmmm, different opinions, still not sure which would be the best. Im about to buy some Suppleaze Gold but not sure now??

We put our then 16yo slightly creaky irish draught onto suppleaze gold & saw a huge diference, she'd been on equiflex before & although that helped the supplease is much better for her. To be fair I think what helps one horse doesn't do anything for another so you might find it's trial & error for a bit until you drop on the one which suits yours.

Thanks for the replies - looks like it's going to be trial and error. I think I'll start with the cheapest and work my way up!

There was at thread recently where someone had compared all the joint supplements , seeing which ones gave the best levels of supplementation at what cost per day do a search for it it would help you chose.

Er, no, it definitely doesn't. Plus the type of Glucosamine Suppleaze use actually can NOT be absorbed by the horses gut

I was going to go with Suppleaze as I was told this was the best. Confused now!!!

I have no idea about the spec of suppleaze but I've used it on a dozen different horses and everyone has shown an improvement within 3- 4 days, I rate it.

MD - do you have the scientific data to support your statement?

When I 1st put mine on a supp I did some research and didn't seem to reach the same conclusions as you.
