I know joint supplements are done to death but I've been using this supplement since Sept & despite the website saying that the 2kg tub should last 8 months, I'm 8 weeks in & its already half empty  I'm using the recommended heaped scoop a day & nothing more. Going to have to reduce it down a bit to get the end of the year out of it cause I cant afford to get it again right now but did anyone else find this with this supplement?

The reason I got it cause it worked out so cost effective lasting 8 months! But now I'm not sure its worth it if it doesnt.

I've been looking at this one instead: Suppleaze Gold

Can anyone recommend it & does it last as long as it says it does!!???

With any good supplement you should be able to start off with a high dose and reduce down to a maintance level. EG 4 weeks at 2 scoops, reducing down so that by 8 weeks it's 1 scoop a day (depends on the quality and guide from the company). I don't know this supplement you are using but might be worth contacting the company to ask their advise on dose levels and maintance levels for the long term.

Thanks a mil - yip it did indeed have a loading period & I'm down to the maintance level, I did expect that with having to go throught the loading that I might not get the full 8 months out of it but at least 6 months maybe! 8 weeks in & its already half empty!!

I have sent them an email aswell to see if there is something I am doing wrong but just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem with this supplement??

Luckily now I'm just using Rosehip for my lad cos he's only 9 so I just use it as 'just in case' rather than to help with anything so it's not costing the world, but I know these products are very expensive so you are absolutely right to expect it to last at least what they say it will!! I usually find most of the companies really helpful so hopefully they'll give you some idea of what's gone wrong. Other than it running out quickly are you finding it works?

FYI Feedmark had an offer on recently for their joint supplement, with £10 off if ordering over £40 so might be worth considering if you get no joy? I use their stuff alot, sometimes it's slightly more expensive than some places but it's always good quality and they've really helped me out with advise so I stick to buying from them. http://www.feedmark.com/special-offers.asp

Thanks a mil for the link - expensive stuff though !

Yeah I've asked them to explain why its not lasting so I'll see what they say! But yes, I've found it great otherwise, he is 16 with high mileage!! No major problems to report, didnt seem too stiff & always willing to work & always sound but he had no other issues, but he has just seemed much happier & freer since being on it, I wanted him on something since I am working alot of improving his fitness & getting the correct muscles fit, can go around a bit upside down!! But yeah, can recommend it - if it lasted the right lenght of time, it would be perfect!!

The intial loading dose goes through the pot quickly. I have ordered two pots since April and am only half way through second pot of 1kg. Once on maintenance dose you will see that it lasts longer.

Don't give up on it, it is fab stuff!

On really - thanks a mil! Good to know that it does start to even out, do you feed one heaped scoop or a level one, just out of interest??

Thanks a mil Asterid for the advise, I was feeding a heaped scoop a day! In fairness to Equine Answers (people who make Premierflex), I emailed them & they recommended a half a scoop a day aswell so I'm gonna cut back to that & hopefully get the end of the year out of my tub & then re-order in the new year. It really is a great supplement, he has been really happy on it so dont want to change!

I give my girl the level scoop each day and the tub lasts the correct amount of time.

As a supplement for her joints it seems to suit her.
