I know this has been done before, but I am going to clip my horse on Sunday and unfortunately have a lesson tomorrow where he us going to get rather sweaty. For the last week, I have been spraying Show Shine into his hair, but if I remember rightly you can use a solution of dettol and water to clean a coat, is this right? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated please.

Or baby oil/shampoo. Make sure you use a big cloth, I like those dog towels. As hot as you can stand it water and a squirt of whatever you choose to use. Wring out the cloth as dry as you can and sweep over her clipped areas.

I would bath him allover after your lesson as it is so mild. I clip lots of horses and it is much easier to clip a clean horse, as sweat makes the blades catch the hair and blunts the blades.

Yes definitely take this advice as I've clipped this morning and it was much better with him being clean!
