Today i was asked by my Y/O to de-hair my rugs over the fence, along with some other livery's rugs (currently on work exp there) i had no clue what to do! took a rubber curry comb to them, it worked, not well, and not fast, any suggestions on quicker and more effective ways?

Stephen.

I used to lay mine lining side up on the concrete yard and brush with a stiff broom, that gets most of the hair off. Now I use nylon lining rugs, so just need a shake and maybe a quick brush.

Fair play, our local tack shop runs a cleaning, mending and reproofing service and all they insist on is that rugs are brought in tied up tight in black bin bags (or similar) as their counter can get distinctly pongy if a few rugs have been dropped off! They always come back looking brand spanking new! Fabulous!
