Preparing stables for winter.

What disinfectant do you use, how do you use it?
What do you do with cobwebs etc, do you just use a sweeping brush or something?
Anything else you do before the bed goes in?

I use Jays Fluid for disinfecting the stable, get the broom out on all the cobwebs, scrub all water and feed buckets, both inside and out with washing up liquid and we sweep the entire barn out and sort out all the tack rooms!

i clean my floor with the usual cheepy disinfectant and take down cob webs with a brush haha.
erm, i usually disinfect my grooming brushes aswell just ready for winter

ummm, thats all i can think of atm

ohh we also paint the whole block of stables

Just give everywhere cobwebs and all a good brush and then sweep it all out. I use Jeyes a good splash in a bucket of water stand at the back of the stable and pour over the floor and then brush towards the door - all the water and dirt goes out the door - leave to dry!!

If you leave the bucket for anything else - like feeds, topping up water buckets etc remember to give it a good wash out.

remember to wash the lights, as dirty fleurescent tubes and covers reduce the light greatly!

dunno if you have, or have acess to a pressure washer. we use one in our stables great for cobwebs and dust also you can add detergent for floors we use jayes or vircon brilliant for sweeping the yard too !
Ps we also use on our show cobs with pressure turned right down of course they love it.

Remove all bedding, lift rubber matts. Those get taken outside and disinfect with cheapo stuff bought for the chemist

I deck scrub the floors, leave them to dry then use a stiff brush to brush off all the crap.

Use a soft brush to do all the walls and remove cobwebs. This year I also painted the walls for the first time. This is it with two bales of shavings down, I have since added more
