I have been entrusted with getting a present for a horsey colleague who is moving from Germany to Ireland for my company. Everyone has chipped in so we can give her something nice- I suggested either a musto combination jacket or a long waterproof mac (to cope with the Irish weather). Any thoughts on this? What are the best long macs out there (I thought of drizabone but I've always thought them very heavy)? Please share any other ideas you may have!

i am thinking the jacket idea sounds good esp as its a bit tongue in cheek for the weather!!!

i have a drizabone which i love but agree they are on the heavier side.

forgot to say - whens she going as if you are able to go to burghley a bargain may be had????

yes thought of burghley but then figured an online retailer may be best as she can swap it if she doesn't like it. I also have an old drizabone which I am very attached to but it's sooo ehavy (perhaps the new ones are lighter)?

I think the jacket is a great idea. you can never have enough jackets in the winter. What about one of those nice hats to go with it ?

think I'll go for the musto jacket- my colleague is slim but tall (5'9) do you reckon a size 12 is better than a 10? I have another type of musto jacket and find the sizing generous (I'm a 10 and it's an 8) but then I am only 5'4....
