So this year I have asked Santa for the following:

A pair of cordless clippers
A leisure battery
A chemical toilet

What have you asked Santa for that the non horsey type may find a little strange?

Last year my OH was discussing GF/wife Christmas presents with the lads at work who had all bought their OH's things such as hair straightners, spa days, clothes, Ugg boots etc etc... He told them he'd bought me a tool box (for my grooming kit, obviously), a head lamp and a wheelbarrow.

They all thought it was hilarious.

I loved them all :)

A 50W LED portable "task light" (definitely not a floodlight, honest guv and a pessoa. My wife moans every year that my Xmas and b'day presents (a week apart) are for the boys and not for me.

I have asked for waterproof trousers that are actually ...wait for it.....WATERPROOF!!!

the best present I ever had was a pair of fencing pliers-I was fencing 4 acres by hand at the time, he refused to help in any way shape or form (despite having access to machinery that would have made the job sooooo much easier), he refused to have anything to do with the horses

I always manage to get presents that are actually for the horse - like rugs, tack and other bits and bobs! One year a friend even gave me a selection of horse treats as part of my present (I hoped they were meant for the horse!)

Most non horsey people understand what they the presents are for, but are baffled that I rarely get something for 'myself'! :)

Well, I've been eyeing this pile of badass gear up from Equissentials Dressage:

I'm hoping my mother will feel inspired to do a custom job and get him the ears and modify them down to suit his little ears (they never fit - wide head, little ears!). So yes, "could I have some modified, Fergie-sized bright blue ears, please?" is probably not a common request in Santa's workshop ;)

The house that is attached to our yard is rented out to a family with a 4 year old daughter, she loves helping out on the yard and picking up the poo! On her 4th birthday we bought her a children's sized wheelbarrow, she was ecstatic and it was her favourite present haha- starting young! I mostly have jodphurs / breeches as I seem to wear them out quickly. I only have horsey things or make up for presents tbh

I have eskadron platinum for Christmas with some patent overreaches to go with it and a mattes sheepskin headcollar set :) I'm happy!

Oooooh <3 That sounds amazing. I hope we will see photos at some point!

I got sparkly overreaches (also from Equissentials - I promise I'm not on commission here!) the other week and they're divine. I'm waiting on sparkly, glittery spur straps from Equiens too - I'm such a sucker for matchy and sparkles these days!

Iv asked my OH for a 30m extension lead and a new wheelbarrow :)

All his mates when discussing what to get their partners thought he was kidding when he told them! My workmates just laughed and said 'well yes, doesnt surprise me at all as your so practical, but shouldnt you just get those anyway?'

When i then said that my money is better spent on feed, hay and bedding instead of luxuries they laughed even more. Dont think they consider an extension lead and a new wheelbarrow as a luxury like i do haha :P

My hubby bought me a saddle (already received) it's an equipe ... Yes he really is THAT good... Last year I got a box of chocolates - what can I say he's learning *grin*

A new pooper scooper.
A leisure battery
Laminitic friendly treats
Fleece-lined tights/leggings
Thermal socks for riding
Warm riding gloves
New bridle

Actually I'm struggling to think of anything I want for myself...

I jst asked for vouchers for our local feed store and some IOUs that can be redeemed for yard duties. Maybe I should of bin abit more imaginative/demanding but my OH is bloody useless with anything horsey so ide rather have cash/vouchers and buy stuff myself.

So far for xmas over the years I've had, my horse, a western saddle, another horse, new poop scoop and pull along trolley, lots of Hi viz,
muck trailer for the field and electric fencing with energiser, don't know what I want this year

Last year, OH's brother (who is a little bit useless to be fair) off his own back, bought me a horse and human first aid kit. I was well impressed!

Last year my girly cousins were impressed that I got some expensive boots for Christmas, I didn't mention they were ariats for riding :)
One of there husbands then mentioned a hotel where he had booked a spa day, mine pipes up "I've booked there as well for a present but it's for a go ape day" all allusions of being girly shattered.
