gift ideas for a horsey mum who doesn’t ride? she’s not into smelly stuff, she’s specifically said she doesn’t want chocolate this year, she’s just got new yard boots and presents for the pony ie treats are a no go because she’s got cushings! pony in question is also VERY fussy anyway, doesn’t like licks or anything, even turned her nose up at the salt lick i bought her not long ago, ungrateful mare.

mother likes sheep a lot, but i’m struggling on that front too.

any ideas will be much appreciated, even if it’s just things on your list this year! should also add her bday is in december too so double the effort lol

I got a couple of lively prints done on slate in black and white. You just take a photo and send it off. They get back to you with what it will look like. It's around £30 if I remember correctly.

Could you get her a nice wool item for on the yard, such as a nice wool coat or something? To combine her love of sheep and time spent with the horses?

Bonus points for it being from somewhere with a 'story' so she knows the sheep are well looked after, instead of just something mass produced at a fast fashion shop.

Great idea too.

I bought mohair ‘adventurer’ socks from Corrymoor.com (based in Devon) for a few friends last year. They were very well received.

Nice pen, notepad etc? Magnetic fridge shopping list with sheep on it? Keyring? I know you said not smellies but lip balm. As others have said nice gloves, scarf, socks hat etc?
You mention pony so a nice grooming brush?

thankyou everyone for the replies! i’m still a little bit stuck - there’s a certain artist who i want to get a custom print from of our pony we lost earlier this year so i’m waiting for her to open her commissions, and whilst the needle felted ponies are a cracking idea she was literally just brown all over, so it wouldn’t really be personalised. we have got her a necklace of her hair collectively so we have managed to get something relevant to her. i’m looking at needle felted sheep though because there was a sheep that she helped deliver and rear on the yard, he followed her round like a puppy but unfortunately they wouldn’t let her buy him and he still went for meat so i’ve been looking for personalised sheep gifts. she’s not the type to wear any sort of nice woollen item, and a sheep experience day is a bit redundant because she already spends all spring helping out with them anyway! there has definitely still been some inspiration though so it wasn’t all in vain!

this really highlights how hard to buy for she is?
