pressage boots anyone every used them

I used one last year on my boy who had an op on his hind leg on his tarsal sheath. I thought it was good, it stayed in place and prevented the area from swelling up the only thing with it was that it rubbed the inside of his leg (around the tendon area) not severley but enough to leave some white hairs despite me putting softban underneath it. I did get the correct size fitting so maybe it was just because the area was a little warm x

My filly has just had surgery for ocd and need something so that i can know that the bandage of but prevent the effusion getting any worse so was wondering if anyone has every used them and if so were they any good

They're excellent! We had a youngster operated on with OCD of the hock several years ago - there was severe effusion before surgery and vet warned me it might not settle right down after surgery. We kept the boot on for 8 weeks after surgery and there was no effusion left - in fact he passed a 5 stage vetting a year later and the vet - who knew he'd had surgery but couldn't remember which hock - searched for a sign for several minutes before he had to ask me which hock had the surgery! :D

I used hock pressure boots a few years ago got then off the vet. They seemed to fit perfect but rubbed her legs really bad after 3 days there was no way we could put them on again. Not only was the horse uncomfortable but there was a wound..... We to put soft ban under to help after the 1st day. They seemed to work tho.... Although I wouldn't use them ever again!!
