It's too late if they're awful because I've already taken delivery of it! I have another prestige saddle but not a calfskin one. Just wanted to know if anyone has any tips on care. It's already lovely and soft and grippy. Also I know they're not has hard wearing as normal leather but has anyone any comments on how they wear?

Many thanks!! :)

Don't use hard leathers, but opt for softer wrapped ones. Also use smooth leather boots rather than suede half chaps.

And only use Prestige leather conditioner - anything containing oils could cause the two layers of leather to delaminate and void your warranty for the leather.

Thanks for the replies, seem to doing everything ok with soft leathers, my boots and no oily stuff on it. It really doesn't need it, just the girth straps needed oil and that's all.

It's generally recommended not to oil girth straps - oil causes leather to stretch and of course that's the last thing you want with girth straps! Conditioner is am much better bet, and is something all leather needs, much better than glycerine etc. Just clean with an old fashioned woven dish cloth, warm water and elbow grease, and condition lightly only when needed.

Thanks sbloom, fortunately I just gave them a quick lick of oil once and will now refrain from doing so! Thanks.
