Have just come off the phone to the YO expressing my concerns for the mare on the yard and she is going to have sever words with the owner, stating that under the Animal Welfare Act she could be prosecuted etc and if she doesn't accept that then YO is going to phone the vets and get them out and charge the owner... I feel like a rather large weight has been lifted off my shoulders, have four of my own to look after, stand need to have another one. So thank you to everyone who has replied to my previous post.

let's hope that the delay in treatment doesn't lead to a poor outcome. The YO might want to consider covering her back and getting vet to write a report now
